Final Logo Presentation Guidelines

The final presentation to Whitney should include logos as well as applications/mock ups. 8.5×11 pages, landscape orientation.

LOGOS (in this order):

  • black/white logo, 5×5 (largest dimension should be 5 so the final logo might be 5×4 or 5×2 but should neither width nor height should be larger than 5 inches)
  • color logo, 5×5
  • alternatives, 5×5 (if there are any other versions of your design)

APPLICATIONS:

  • .5 inch border on every page
  • one application per page unless a few lend themselves to share a page (for example, a business card and letterhead)
    • some pre-made mockups include multiple products in one image – this is fine and will probably look good.
  • make sure to include small versions of your logo in these applications- business cards would be a good option but you could also place it on letterhead, envelopes, or merchandise
  • be sure to include business cards and letterhead. also create some sort of website header or app icon depending on your product. Whitney also mentioned stickers and packaging. other ideas are trade show banners, stamps, mugs.

  • applications/mock up templates can be found online by googling something like “mug logo mock up”, etc. These mock ups are photoshop files and are super simple to use but let me know if you have any questions and I can come help out!

The Y

In 2010, the Y.M.C.A changed its name to simply, the Y. This month, the Y released commercials to further solidify its rebranding and enhance its public image. In this case, the logo (the Y) requires additional information for new viewers to understand the mission of the organization. The ads were created by the New York based advertising and design agency Droga5.
